Recruitment will be ongoing until filled. 

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS:

The work is primarily of a routine nature and involves the application of standardized account keeping practices in maintaining and reviewing accounts and records. Account Clerks work under general supervision on standard assignments in accordance with definitely defined procedures. Supervisors are available for consultation on unusual problems and provide instructions on all new or difficult assignments. Does related work as required.

TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES: (Illustrative only)

  • Operates a personal computer in performing duties described below:
  • Reconciles, tracks, reports on areas of the Business Office that can include but are not limited to, employee attendance, leave provisions, support the District Treasurer, Accounts Payable, and Payroll.
  • Assists in maintaining labor, material and operational attendance.
  • Assists in verifying and reconciling account balances according to a prescribed procedure;
  • Helps to review and check routine account keeping records and reports for arithmetical and clerical accuracy, completeness and proper extension
  • Compiles data for and helps in the preparation of statistical reports;
  • Sorts, indexes and files requisitions, vouchers, ledger cards and other material;
  • Compiles payroll data, prepares and checks payroll;
  • Operates computing, calculating, check writing and other office machines.
  • May, on occasion, be required to operate word processing, data entry or related business equipment.

 

$37,323.00 Base and commensurate with experience
