Assistant Principal, Lincoln/Perkins Schools | | Assistant Principal: Shared Lincoln School and Perkins School Goal: To assist the principal in the general management of the school to ensure that students receive the best possible education and services with the resources available and the school is a positive, safe, healthy and productive place to learn. PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Assistant Principal will focus on the administration and supervision of the elementary school program. Collaboratively work with various stakeholders to problem solve and create structures that lead to a positive school learning environment and school improvement. Fostering strong relationships with students, staff, and parents is essential. EXPECTED RESULTS: -
Maintain an effective learning climate in the school. -
Coordinates and supervises the day-to day student management procedures in the school including related record keeping and referral systems. -
Enforces discipline as necessary in accordance with the district code of conduct and incorporates restorative justice principals. -
Implements disciplinary policies through student, parent and staff conferences. -
Assists the principal in providing for the safety and security of students, personnel, building and grounds and assists with the supervision of the school security. -
Works with teachers, mental health professionals and other school staff and with public agencies to support students and address matters relating to the guidance and welfare of students. -
Works cooperatively with various members of the administration and building staff in addressing building and or district issues. -
Plans and supervises activities and programs with building staff which are outgrowths of the school’s curriculum such as: plays, concerts, assemblies, student council, field trips. -
Supervises the maintenance of accurate records and reports to parents on the progress and attendance of students. -
Directs, supervises and evaluates teachers, clerical staff and paraprofessionals. -
Prepares required reports and maintains complete and accurate records of the entire school program. -
Assists the principal in observing and evaluating the performance of the instructional and support staff and completes required documentation. -
Coordinates the schedule of all students, instructional and support staff. -
Acts as the principal in the absence of the principal. -
Performs related duties that may be assigned by the school principal, Superintendent of Schools or their designee. | $72,000 base; commensurate with experience |
Data Coordinator | | TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES: Data Collection including but not limited to: K-8 Common Writing, K-5 ELA, 9-12, Midterms and Finals, NYS assessments, Regents, NYSESLAT, NYSITELL Data Verification including but not limited to: State Accountability, Assessment, Attendance, BEDS/FRPL, Graduation, School Tool Program Services; FRPL&ENL Data Reporting including but not limited to: Local and State Assessment, State Accountability, SSEC, Assessment budget Data Analysis including but not limited to: Local and State Assessment, Program Evaluation, District Annual Reports Tech Support including but not limited to: serving as CBT Testing Coordinator KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Oversee the collection, verification, correction, storage, and transmission of district data related to student demographics, enrollment, program services, and assessments
- Organize and maintain databases, ensuring data accuracy and implementing data security protocols. This includes data entry, data cleaning and data validation
- Manage district compliance with NYSED data certification schedules, deadlines, including securing Superintendent approval
- Administer and maintain the district’s data warehouse, NYSSIS, BOCES dashboard, and SEDDAS systems
- Collaborate with IT staff to ensure student information systems meet reporting requirements and support customized report generation
- Collaborate with administrators as needed
- Oversees District database systems including but not limited to SchoolTool
- Build data to create visual presentations that ensure clarity, and understanding by various stakeholders/audiences, in areas included but not limited to: attendance, SEL, academic, behavioral
- Monitor and enforce data privacy and protection policies; manage breaches and complaints as needed
- Develop internal policies and procedures for data integrity and security
- Provide ongoing training and support to staff on data systems and NYSED initiatives
- Serve as liaison with NYSED and other agencies regarding data reporting and system use
- Lead district data team meetings and attend regional/state data council meetings
- Maintain compliance with data governance requirements and provide regular status updates to the Superintendent
- Oversees District database systems including but not limited to SchoolTool
- All other duties as assigned
